Alès Funfair Kicks Off December with Exciting Attractions and Extended Holiday Hours

The traditional Alès funfair is set to welcome visitors starting December 6, 2025, at its usual location on avenue Jules-Guesde, beside the Gardon River near the Pont-Neuf. As of December 1st, the funfair attractions, including thrilling rides, candy stalls, and classic games, are being assembled, promising a festive atmosphere at the foot of the Cévennes mountains.

The event will run through January 11, 2026, offering hours from 2 PM to 8 PM on Wednesdays and weekends until the school holidays begin. During the holiday period, from December 20 to January 4, the fair will operate daily, extending opportunities for families and visitors to enjoy the seasonal festivities.

Situated in the Gard department, this annual funfair is a cherished tradition for locals and visitors alike, combining entertainment with a picturesque setting. The return of the fair this year continues to support local cultural life and community enjoyment during the winter season.
