The 9th stage of the 2025 Tour de France will unfold in Châteauroux on Sunday, July 13, starting from Chinon. This stage is poised to conclude with an exhilarating sprint finish at around 5 PM on Avenue de La Châtre, renowned as the second longest straight stretch in this year’s event, just behind the iconic Champs-Élysées. Local officials are actively promoting the event. Marc Fleuret, president of the Indre departmental council, and Gil Avérous, the mayor and former Sports Minister, took part in a ceremonial bike ride along the designated route. Avérous noted the significance of the day for sprinters, stating, "For the sprinters, this is the day to prove they are the best."
