As part of the 'Été Marseillais' program, Marseille is hosting a series of circus workshops and performances aimed at engaging the youth in the 2nd and 3rd arrondissements. The initiative, titled 'Le 2-3 fait son cirque,' is designed to spread cultural offerings throughout local neighborhoods, running until August 6. Participants have the chance to explore creative activities like juggling and mime, culminating in live performances by the Belgian circus company Sitting Duck.

During a recent event at the Halle Ambroise-Croizat, children enjoyed a comedic production that captured their imaginations. Emilia Sinsoilliez, the sector’s first deputy mayor, highlighted the initiative's goal, stating, "The idea is to bring culture to all territories and living areas in Marseille." Local parents, including resident Monica, expressed appreciation for the program as a valuable source of entertainment for children. Teresa Tigrato, the director of the organizing association Art’Euro, shared her satisfaction with the project, excited to introduce circus arts to the community. Upcoming festivities are set for August 5 at Place Cadenas, from 6 PM to 9 PM, as anticipation grows for more circus-inspired enjoyment in the city.
