Demi Vollering delivered a remarkable performance in the 5th stage of the Tour de France Femmes on August 5, 2026, claiming victory after overcoming an early crash. The stage, starting in Mâcon and finishing in Belleville-en-Beaujolais, covered 140 kilometers with a challenging route featuring the second-category climb at Mont Brouilly.

Early into the stage, a crash involving six riders caught Vollering off guard, causing her to lose about 100 meters to the peloton.
