With the first round of the 2026 municipal elections in Paris just a week away, a poll conducted by Elabe-Berger Levrault for Le Figaro, BFM-TV, and La Tribune Dimanche reveals that Emmanuel Grégoire and Rachida Dati are the frontrunners. The survey, published on March 7, shows these two candidates standing out ahead of the pack.

However, the election campaign is currently overshadowed by the ongoing crisis in the Middle East, diverting media and public attention from this local political contest. The poll tested seven different possible configurations for the second round, highlighting the pivotal role of smaller, outsider candidates. These outsiders' ability to maintain their positions and their strategic choices in the runoff could crucially affect the election's outcome.

Bernard Sananès, president of the polling institute, emphasized the importance of these dynamics at this stage of the race.
