Emmanuelle Gazel's Candidate List Gains Diverse Political Support Ahead of 2026 Local Elections

Emmanuelle Gazel's recently presented candidate list for the 2026 local elections in Millau marks a foundational moment in coalition-building, as she emphasizes broad collaboration beyond traditional party lines. Although only seven candidates on the list are affiliated with political parties, the Parti radical de gauche (PRG) primarily supports the group.

Aurélie Eson, aligned with Place publique and currently a deputy, centers her campaign on social justice themes, including guaranteed access to quality food, educational focus in priority neighborhoods, and measures to adapt to climate change. Ecologist candidates Alexandra Moulin and Jonathan Pessier advocate for sustainable municipal policies such as public water management, comprehensive mobility plans, and citizen-initiated referendums to enhance local democracy.

Michel Durand of the Socialist Party defends their support for Gazel's list, highlighting the clarity and coherence of its social solidarity policies and criticizing opposition tactics. Gazel also notes positive collaboration with the Communist Party but explicitly states no alliance with La France Insoumise is planned.
