France is currently enduring a severe heatwave affecting approximately 38.8 million people, with temperatures soaring between 38°C and 42°C in areas such as Morbihan, which is on red heatwave alert starting June 22, 2026. This exceptional weather event is posing serious health risks, particularly to vulnerable groups including the elderly, chronically ill, and those living in precarious situations.
