France Celebrates Economic Knowledge and Digital Innovation with December 2025 Events

France is hosting two significant events this December that highlight public engagement with economic knowledge and digital innovation. From December 16, 2025, to January 11, 2026, the Bibliothèque nationale de France (BnF) will showcase a curated selection of books under the theme "Économie et citoyens, repenser le lien" (Economy and Citizens, Rethinking the Connection). This event coincides with the 27th Journée du Livre d'Économie on December 17, 2025, organized by the Ministry of Economy and Lire la Société. The featured works include manuals, accessible essays, and documentary comics designed to demystify economic concepts and encourage public reflection on citizenship and economy. The event also spotlights three finalists for the 'Lire l’Économie' high school essay prize, with the winner announced during the book day and invited to present their research at the BnF in March 2026.

Earlier in the month, on December 10, the Trophées de l’Économie Numérique took place at Ynov Montpellier, organized by La Mêlée and the CCI Occitanie. This event honored ten laureates pioneering innovation across sectors such as health, agriculture, education, artificial intelligence, and cybersecurity. The awards emphasize fostering technological advancement and supporting emerging digital economy projects within the region.
