France is currently managing a developing public health situation following the detection of Hantavirus cases linked to a cruise ship exposure. A man in Concarneau, Finistère, identified as a contact case, is confined to his home and scheduled for transfer to CHU de Rennes for hospitalization on May 11, 2026. This precautionary move follows a positive Hantavirus diagnosis in one of the five French passengers repatriated from the MV Hondius cruise ship, according to Health Minister Stéphanie Rist.
