From December 15 to 17, 2025, a dedicated information mission in France is conducting hearings and discussions to explore the causes and consequences of the nation's declining birth rates. The mission, organized by the National Assembly, includes testimonies from a range of experts and officials involved in family, health, and demographic issues.

On the opening day, December 15, the schedule featured hearings with Sandra Onyszko from the National Federation of Foster Families and Childminders, Tristan Claret-Trentelivres and Oscar Bockel of the Res Publica Foundation, and Stéphanie Rist, Minister of Health, Families, Autonomy, and Persons with Disabilities. A round table at 2:30 p.m. focused on the integration of families and children in public spaces, involving representatives from public transportation. Later that day, deputies from overseas territories and demographer Claude-Valentin Marie discussed demographic challenges in these regions.

Hearings continued December 16 with Ludovine de La Rochère, president of the Family Union, and Caroline Combot, president of the National Union of Midwives. The mission concludes on December 17 with Aurore Bergé, Minister Delegate for Equality between Women and Men, and representatives from child health organizations.
