French National Football Team Arrives in Boston Ahead of Key Friendlies vs Brazil and Colombia

The French national football team, Les Bleus, has arrived in Boston as part of their preparation tour ahead of the 2026 World Cup. They are scheduled to play a friendly match against Brazil on March 26 in Foxborough, Massachusetts, followed by a game against Colombia on March 29 in Landover near Washington, as part of their adaptation to their World Cup base camp in Boston.

The team landed Tuesday afternoon and immediately held a light indoor training session at the luxurious Four Seasons hotel where they will stay during the competition this summer. This period allows Head Coach to finalize the World Cup roster while giving players a chance to acclimate to conditions in the United States.

Traveling to the United States was facilitated by a recent partnership between the French Football Federation (FFF) and French airline La Compagnie, which will continue until the end of the World Cup in late July 2026. The team flew on an Airbus A321 NEO configured with only 76 seats for maximum comfort on the approximately seven-hour flight. Philippe Diallo, president of the FFF, emphasized that the collaboration ensures optimal travel conditions to enhance player performance and team spirit. Onboard, players enjoyed gourmet Michelin-starred meals and high-speed WiFi.

Star forward Kylian Mbappé has eased concerns over his knee injury, reassuring fans that he is in good condition for the upcoming matches. After facing Brazil, the team will travel to Washington to play Colombia before returning to France to continue their preparations for the World Cup, set to take place from June 11 to July 19 across the USA, Mexico, and Canada.
