Genesis, the luxury brand of Hyundai, will officially enter the French market in early 2026. The company plans to debut with three electric models: the GV60 SUV, eGV70 SUV, and eG80 sedan, with prices ranging from over €60,000 to more than €100,000 for the eG80 sedan. Genesis aims to capitalize on the increasing presence of premium automakers in Europe and will establish showrooms in ten major cities including Bordeaux, Lille, Lyon, Nantes, Nice, Strasbourg, and Toulouse.

As part of a broader expansion strategy, Genesis is also set to enter Italy, Spain, and the Netherlands. The company is committed to a strategic roadmap that includes not only electric vehicle offerings but also upcoming hybrid and plug-in hybrid models, extending to 2035. Xavier Martinet, European director of Genesis, highlighted the brand's focus on adapting to European consumer preferences during a recent press conference at the Le Mans circuit, where the plans were announced.

In conjunction with its market entry, Genesis will participate in the World Endurance Championship and the prestigious 24 Hours of Le Mans, which further aligns with their branding strategy in Europe. This launch signifies Hyundai's intent to strongly compete in the luxury electric vehicle market while responding to consumer demand for premium electric options.
