The "Rencontres des Entrepreneurs de France" is set for August 26-27 at Roland-Garros in Paris, spotlighting regional economic dynamism with a strong presence from the Grand Est region. Around 160 entrepreneurs are expected to attend, mirroring last year's turnout. This event is critical for promoting Grand Est companies and their role in job creation and economic contributions, as emphasized by Christian Brethon, regional business leader. The program includes discussions on economic concerns and the upcoming elections, a statutory employers' assembly, and a conference on territorial economic intelligence by consultant Arnaud Florentin. Grand Est President Franck Leroy will deliver closing remarks and engage with business leaders on August 27.

Meanwhile, in the village of Thégra, local economic and educational vitality are highlighted through a visit by Gwenaelle Coat, sous-préfète of Gourdon. The commune anticipates a significant rise in student numbers by 2026, supported by quality facilities such as updated school infrastructure with air conditioning, leisure centers, and a wood-fired heating system. Coat toured growing company Itopp, which employs 75 people and plans to hire 25 more employees, showcasing the area's industrial growth, particularly in High-Pulse Power technology. Discussions covered recruitment challenges, housing, mobility, and health services, essential factors ensuring local attractiveness and sustained development. Coat expressed satisfaction with the progress in Thégra and the broader northern department area.
