Historic Macronists Call for Broad Coalition to Block Far-Right in 2027 French Presidential Election

As France approaches the 2027 presidential election, two prominent figures closely associated with Emmanuel Macron's political movement are urging the formation of a wide coalition to prevent the far-right National Rally (RN) from gaining power. Philippe Grangeon, a former special advisor to President Macron, and Clément Beaune, former minister from the Renaissance party, have publicly advocated for an alliance that strategically excludes the Republicans (LR) party and figures like Bruno Retailleau.
