Jimi Maximin, a 26-year-old rugby player from Pau, recently made his debut for the French national rugby team, an event marked by both personal pride and sporting success. Known for his towering 2.05-meter stature and weighing 135 kilograms, Maximin has stood out in the Top 14 league, where Pau is currently tied for first place with Stade Toulousain after 12 matches. His standout performance included a crucial try against Toulouse on October 18, leading to a 30-26 victory.

Maximin's impressive domestic achievements led to his selection by coach Fabien Galthié for the French national side. He earned his first cap on November 15 in a match against Fiji, entering at the 64th minute to help France secure a 34-21 win.
