Lyon is scheduled to host the Coupe de France de Para Football adapté from June 20 to 22, 2025, a significant event for adapted football in the region. The tournament will feature approximately 150 players drawn from 10 regional selections, all competing for the prestigious championship title at the historic OL training center, Tola-Vologe.

Jean-Michel Rhiel, president of the Ligue Aura de sport adapté, expressed his pride in holding such an influential event, stating, "It is an honor for the Ligue Aura to provide athletes with this exceptional setting to express themselves and showcase their skills." This tournament marks the culmination of a busy season for adapted football, which has included various training camps, friendly matches, and ongoing discussions about the establishment of a formal championship for athletes with disabilities.

Among the competitors, 16 players have been selected to represent the Ligue Aura, with 11 of those players coming from the Rhône region. Notably, the Sporting Club Ouest Lyonnais, fresh off a victory in the regional championship, alongside another local club Ecully, are set to play vital roles in the tournament.
