Key Points

  • • Court rejected Vinci-Bouygues' appeal regarding Stade de France management.
  • • GL Events signs 30-year contract with State for venue management.
  • • First events under GL Events include AC/DC concerts in August.
  • • Court confirms that the State met all necessary obligations for the contract.

On June 12, 2025, the Montreuil administrative court rejected the final appeal from Vinci-Bouygues, allowing the State to formalize a 30-year concession contract with GL Events for the management of Stade de France. This ruling, which confirmed the State's adherence to its obligations of publicity and competition, paves the way for GL Events to enhance the stadium's profile as a premier event destination.

GL Events, whose contract was awarded in early May after a prolonged selection process, plans to commence operations with two major AC/DC concerts scheduled for August 9 and 13. Christophe Cizeron, head of GL Events' venues branch, expressed gratitude to the State and stressed the importance of a seamless transition with the outgoing management to fulfill their vision for the venue's transformation.

The decision marks a significant milestone in the ongoing evolution of Stade de France, with ambitions to revitalize its offerings beyond sports, aiming to host diverse events that cater to a wide array of audiences.
