Since midnight, intense rainfall has been recorded, particularly in the Cévennes, with precipitation totals ranging from 50 to 80 mm in the Ardèche mountains and peaks reaching 100 to 120 mm in some areas over the past six hours. The severe weather episode is predicted to persist throughout Saturday, moving eastward towards the Rhône Valley, the Alpine massif, and the Provence-Alpes-Côte d'Azur region. Heavy thunderstorms are anticipated especially in the middle Rhône Valley and the northern Drôme and Isère regions, bringing significant rainfall and potential flooding concerns.
