The 5th round of the 2026 Coupe de France sees several compelling matchups set for October 10, 2026, highlighting both community engagement and sporting challenges.
AS Gournay-en-Bray marks a historic moment, reaching this stage for the first time in 20 years, to face FC Rouen at Parc des Sports de l’Aulnaie. With over 1,000 tickets sold and a capacity of 1,942, the event combines sports with charity, with one euro from each ticket supporting a local child affected by TANGO2 syndrome. FC Rouen's coach, Régis Brouard, plans to rotate his squad to rest key players and give opportunities to younger and recovering athletes, while Gournay's coach, Mathieu Dupuis, emphasized a confident preparation despite one player's injury.
Meanwhile, FC Grand Saint-Émilionnais will host Hasparren, leveraging home advantage after a run of successful matches. Coach Alain Brindor stressed their determination to avoid an early exit despite a recent setback where the team finished a match with eight players.
In Loiret, Blois Foot 41 is set to visit SC Malesherbois, with Blois aiming to maintain their strong form against a lower-league opponent. Lastly, Amiens SC faces SC Abbeville in a local derby, with goalkeeper Victor Delins eager to prove himself in the cup while stepping in due to the regular goalkeeper's international duty.
These fixtures combine sporting merit, careful team management, and local support, adding layers of anticipation for this stage of the Coupe de France.
