Rapper Doums Held in Custody over Domestic Violence Allegations by Actress Adèle Exarchopoulos

The Franco-Malian rapper Doums, whose real name is Mamadou Coulibaly, was placed in police custody in Paris amid serious domestic violence allegations filed against him by his former partner, actress Adèle Exarchopoulos. The accusation centers on incidents spanning from 2017 to 2024, as revealed through a complaint lodged in October 2024. This matter has mobilized an ongoing investigation into habitual domestic violence and a breach of a protection order, during which Exarchopoulos was questioned in autumn 2025.

According to sources from Le Figaro and AFP, Doums was taken for questioning starting Thursday at a Paris police station. The public prosecutor's office has refrained from making further comments until the completion of his custody period and any subsequent decisions. Doums, 33, has an established criminal history encompassing multiple convictions, including domestic violence, theft, and drug offenses.

Additionally, he faces a fresh complaint from his current partner following an incident on January 11 in Vitry-sur-Seine, where she reportedly suffered assault just days before Doums' recent arrest. This legal scrutiny compounds pending issues, as Doums is also scheduled for a domestic violence court hearing on February 2.
