In the Drôme region of France, a natural hatching of Nile crocodile eggs has occurred for the first time, directly linked to the recent intense heatwaves. These climatic conditions, characterized by sustained temperatures of 30 to 32 °C necessary for the incubation of the eggs over three months, enabled the successful birth of ten Nile crocodiles last Saturday at the Ferme aux Crocodiles in Pierrelatte.
