Renault Trucks' facility in Limoges is advancing its circular economy initiatives, reporting a 20% revenue increase in 2024, reaching €60 million. This growth is attributed to the factory’s innovative remanufacturing processes, which rehabilitate components such as engines, gearboxes, and particulate filters. Stéphane Covasson, the factory director, stated, "Nothing is lost, nothing is created, everything is transformed," highlighting the plant's commitment to sustainability.

Significantly, the factory has developed unique technology enabling the refurbishment of particulate filters multiple times, thereby enhancing their lifespan and sustainability. An investment of €1.4 million has been allocated to upgrade industrial tools to support this process, as reported by Covasson. He shared that during the two-year development of this technology, the facility stored 12,000 filters and noted that initial refurbishment results have exceeded expectations after the second cleaning.

Currently employing 260 workers across a 22,000-square-meter site, the Limoges factory's focus on remanufacturing reflects a transformative shift, especially in the production of NOx sensors, contributing significantly to revenue. This approach positions Renault Trucks not only at the forefront of renewable practices but also stabilizes its financial performance amid growing environmental awareness.
