Rural Equestrian Club Shines at 2025 French Championships

The Les Cavaliers du Causse de Bozouls equestrian club embarked on an extraordinary journey to the 2025 French Championships held in Lamotte-Beuvron, illustrating the dedication of rural French equestrian teams. Competing against over 15,000 equestrians nationwide, the club, which consists of a small rural community, sent three teams of four female riders, marking a significant achievement for the club.

Under the guidance of instructors Alexia Plantier and Caroline Girou, these riders engaged in comprehensive training and fundraising activities to prepare. They organized events like Christmas gift wrapping and local sales, with collected funds helping alleviate participation costs. Additionally, the riders ensured that their horses received the necessary care, nutrition, and rest before the competition.

Upon arrival at the event, they faced challenges including rainy and muddy conditions, yet they persevered during their performances. One of their teams succeeded in reaching the finals, finishing an impressive 7th nationally—a remarkable feat given their rural background.

The event transcended competitive aspects, fostering strong bonds and lasting memories among the participants. In a heartfelt message, the club expressed gratitude for the support that made their participation possible, celebrating the spirit of solidarity and teamwork. Looking forward, they anticipate more equestrian adventures to begin in September.
