State services have issued a red alert for the Costières - Petite Camargue area, prohibiting access to forests and other vegetation zones to curb the high risk of fires. Safety measures have been strongly recommended to smokers, barbecue users, and workers operating outdoors to protect lives, homes, and the environment.

Meanwhile, Météo-France has forecasted that this heatwave episode will impact a wide swath of France this weekend, continuing the trend of elevated temperatures across the country.
