Severe weather alerts have been issued across 18 departments in central and eastern France, as Météo-France warns of potential thunderstorms from Saturday afternoon (June 14) until Sunday morning. The affected areas include Allier, Puy-de-Dôme, Loire, Rhône, and several others, raising concerns of severe conditions such as hail, heavy rainfall, and high winds.

Tragically, a violent storm on June 13 resulted in the death of a 68-year-old man in Grandchamp, Yvelines, when a tree, struck by lightning, fell on a hunting lodge. Emergency services were unable to save him. Additional incidents related to the storm include a woman who sustained critical injuries when a branch fell on her in Paris's 5th arrondissement, requiring her hospitalization. Furthermore, seven others were injured during the storm, including two firefighters, reflecting the dangerous conditions that arose during the previous days' severe weather.
