Rail transport continues to be heavily affected, with SNCF imposing speed restrictions, train cancellations, and altered routes, especially in the Nouvelle-Aquitaine and Occitanie regions. Entire TER services have been suspended this morning in multiple stations along the Southwest, notably in Bayonne, Biarritz, and Hendaye. To date, Storm Nils has tragically resulted in two deaths, five serious injuries, and 21 minor injuries. Emergency services have been heavily engaged, responding to approximately 4,500 incidents triggered by the storm's effects.
