Norwegian cyclist Torstein Traeen has captured the prestigious yellow jersey at the 2026 Tour de France following the completion of the fourth stage on July 7. Traeen, representing the Uno-X team, finished eighth in the stage and leads the general classification with a cumulative time of 13 hours, 2 minutes, and 46 seconds. He holds a substantial lead of over five minutes ahead of notable competitors like Tadej Pogacar, who trails by 7 minutes and 53 seconds.

Traeen's victory is especially poignant given his personal battle with testicular cancer, diagnosed four years ago during a doping control when HCG presence was detected—indicative of cancer rather than doping. After undergoing surgery, he made a remarkable return to professional cycling just four months later.
