WWE Expands Its Reach in 2026 with Netflix Streaming and Major Film Projects

Starting January 1, 2026, WWE has made a significant transition by launching its entire catalog on Netflix, marking the end of its WWE Network and Mediawan channel broadcasts. This debut lets fans stream weekly episodes of Raw, Smackdown, and NXT, as well as monthly Premium Live Events (PLEs), featuring wrestling legends such as The Rock, John Cena, and Hulk Hogan alongside current stars. Beyond streaming, WWE wrestlers are making notable moves in cinema: Dwayne Johnson will headline two films, Jumanji 3 and a live-action Moana adaptation, with hopes for an Oscar nod for his role in The Smashing Machine. Roman Reigns and Cody Rhodes are cast in the upcoming Street Fighter film, while Dave Bautista and Drew McIntyre join Henry Cavill in the Highlander remake. John Cena, retired from wrestling since December, has multiple films set for release, including Coyote vs. Acme and The Janson Directive.
