Young Farmers Rally Political Figures Ahead of 2027 French Presidential Election

The National Congress of Young Farmers is set to hold its final day on June 4 at Ainterexpo in Bourg-en-Bresse, gathering around 1,000 attendees including young farmers and union partners. The event titled "Face aux Jeunes Agriculteurs" will feature speeches from five prominent political personalities who are actively engaging with agricultural issues ahead of the 2027 French presidential election.

Among the speakers are Gabriel Attal, secretary general of Renaissance; Bruno Retailleau, president of Les Républicains; Jean-Philippe Tanguy, deputy from Rassemblement National; Aurélie Trouvé, deputy from La France insoumise; and Marine Tondelier, secretary of Les Ecologistes. These figures represent various political affiliations among the twenty candidates officially declared for the upcoming election.

The Young Farmers' union, led by Pierrick Horel, aims to elevate agriculture's role within public discourse and impact the presidential debates next year. Horel emphasized the union’s objective to influence the political agenda by engaging directly with candidates and stakeholders on pressing agricultural issues.
