The Cauvaldor community council recently announced significant initiatives aimed at enhancing both local health services and economic growth. Following a meeting held on June 9, 2025, the council expanded its 'Parcours M’aides' scholarship program to include various medical specialties beyond general medicine, addressing the pressing need for broader healthcare services. Medical fields now covered include pediatrics, psychiatry, gynecology, dermatology, geriatrics, pharmacy, dentistry, and physiotherapy.
Additionally, the council has allocated €100,000 to support two local enterprises, Puymelec Solaire and Mambert, which are set to build a new 4,000 m² facility in Bétaille. This investment will significantly enhance their production capabilities and is expected to create nine new jobs. In a separate initiative, Les Fermiers de Rocamadour will also expand their cheese production site by 220 m², generating three additional jobs to meet the increasing demand for their rocamadour AOP cheese.
Thierry Chartroux, the vice-president for health at Cauvaldor, stated, "This expansion is a response to real needs on the ground, ensuring a comprehensive and accessible healthcare service." Meanwhile, Jean-Christophe Cid, vice-president in charge of the economy, emphasized the importance of these developments as part of fostering sustainable local growth centered on innovation and community commitment.
