Dylan Daniel, a talented 16-year-old ball-trap shooter from Aigues-Mortes, is making waves in the sport as he aims for higher honors with the French national team. Having received a €500 grant from the municipal council to support his competitive journey, Dylan specializes in Parcours de chasse and Compak Sporting disciplines and has been honing his skills at the Nîmes Shooting Club since he was just 12 years old.
After impressive performances during national selections at the Bellegarde shooting range this spring, he earned a spot on the French national team, representing France in Seville, Spain, earlier this year. Looking ahead, Dylan is preparing for the upcoming French championships in Compak Sporting scheduled for July in Arras, followed by the World Championship in August in Signes, Var.
Supported by his father—also a decorated shooter—as well as notable figures in the community, including Tunet, Rizzini, and Laporte, Dylan takes pride in wearing the French team jersey. He expressed, “Porter le gilet de l’équipe de France est un honneur et je suis fier de représenter ma ville. C’est un sport dur mentalement, mais qui offre des moments de partage inoubliables.” Beyond shooting, Dylan shares a passion for sea fishing, aspiring to become a fishing boat captain in the future.
