Eths Amics Celebrates Release of New Album 'À demain!'

Eths Amics, a musical group from Gerde, recently celebrated the release of their new album titled 'À demain!', showcasing 13 new songs. This album delves into the theme of time while highlighting the group's core values of friendship, conviviality, and solidarity, which continue to bind its members.

The group has experienced significant growth, now comprising 27 members, allowing them to incorporate diverse musical influences. In a notable shift, they have included English songs in their repertoire for the first time, such as the Irish ballad 'Dirty Old Town,' which they perform in English with a distinctive mountain accent. Recently, Eths Amics’ popularity has soared beyond their local area; they have received performance requests from regions like Pyrénées-Orientales, Agenais, Brittany, Alsace, Haute-Savoie, and Auvergne. However, logistical challenges often prevent them from meeting all these requests.

Their rising fame stems from personal connections during local performances and an effective strategy of utilizing word-of-mouth, CD distributions, and social media engagement. Despite their expanding audience, they remain deeply anchored in their Bigorre roots, celebrating local vocal traditions while also embracing music from various cultures, including Spain, Argentina, and Ireland. Each song reflects personal experiences and friendships, creating cultural bridges through their music.
