The initiative to identify designated drivers, referred to as 'SAM', significantly aided in avoiding alcohol-related accidents. The local government also expanded its 'capuchons de verre' initiative, distributing thousands of caps intended to prevent drug tampering in drinks.

Law enforcement efforts were bolstered by the deployment of 250 private security agents for crowd management. Throughout the festivities, police made 41 arrests and managed to intervene in 61 minor street fights. Furthermore, police conducted 6,578 alcohol tests, which identified 137 drivers over the limit, resulting in 91 citations and 46 criminal charges related to driving under the influence. Drug testing also occurred, with 179 tests conducted and 14 infractions reported for drug-impaired driving.

Inspections carried out in food establishments identified 17 violations, leading to the evacuation of one unregistered establishment.
