The Fête de la Musique in Arfons was a vibrant celebration this year, drawing over 200 participants on June 24, 2025. This second edition of the festival, organized in memory of Stéphane Bastié, affectionately known as Fafi, showcased a rich variety of musical performances including folk music and traditional ensembles.
Held on the main street of Arfons, the event transformed the village into a lively gathering space, welcoming families and visitors from surrounding areas such as Revel, Dourgne, Sorèze, and Massaguel. Organizers, led by local shopkeeper Jeoffrey, prepared over 200 meals featuring popular dishes like frites, merguez, cailles, magrets, and sausages, paired with a selection of beverages to enhance the festive atmosphere.
The musical lineup was curated by Christian Parasczak and included performances by the folk group Nothing Spécial, singer Françoise Bastié, and the folkloric ensemble Les Coquins du Sor. Mayor Gérard Pinel commended the event for not only fostering a sense of community but also for boosting local commerce, mentioning the positive impact on tourism through camping and rentals. Pinel also expressed gratitude for the many volunteers who made the celebration possible.
