French Diplomat Fabrice Aidan Implicated in Epstein Scandal, Government Calls for Victims to Seek Justice

French diplomat Fabrice Aidan has been drawn into the Jeffrey Epstein scandal following the release of millions of documents revealing numerous prominent figures connected to Epstein's activities. Aidan's name appears multiple times in the Epstein files, with reports indicating he exchanged numerous emails with Epstein over several years and allegedly provided him diplomatic information and access to international networks.

In response to these revelations, French Minister of Foreign Affairs Jean-Noël Barrot expressed shock and indignation, describing his reaction as 'dismayed' and affirming that he reported the matter to judicial authorities. Barrot has initiated an administrative inquiry and disciplinary procedure concerning Aidan, who is currently on personal leave from his senior foreign affairs post and suspended from his role at the energy company Engie.

Following a Cabinet meeting on February 11, government spokesperson Maud Bregeon encouraged women who might have been victims connected to the Epstein case to come forward and pursue justice. Meanwhile, President Emmanuel Macron commented that the Epstein case primarily involves the United States but underscored the importance of independent judicial processes in France. He also cautioned against conspiracy theories concerning the case.
