  • • Jarry will also star in an adaptation of 'Maison de retraite'.
  • • TF1 aims to revitalize its programming with Jarry's comeback.

French comedian Jarry is making a highly anticipated return to TF1, where he will first appear in a television adaptation of the popular film "Maison de retraite" and then take on the role of host for the new game show "The Imposter." This announcement was made by TF1's programming director, Ara Aprikian, in an interview with *Le Parisien* on July 5, 2025.

In "The Imposter," contestants will face off in a quiz format characterized by unexpected twists. The show features five participants, with one embedded as a hidden traitor. Contestants will answer general knowledge questions, and incorrect responses will add to the traitor's prize pool, complicating the competition as contestants attempt to unmask the impostor at the end of each round. This game show concept is reportedly adapted from an unbroadcasted UK pilot, promising a fresh take on the quiz format.

Jarry's return is well-timed, as he previously enjoyed a successful tenure at TF1, serving as a judge on "Mask Singer" from 2019 to 2022 and appearing regularly on "Vendredi tout est permis." Following a stint at France Télévisions, where he hosted several shows, Jarry is now set to rekindle his relationship with TF1. Aprikian also expressed interest in bringing back noted French personality Alain Chabat as part of TF1’s continued efforts to revitalize its programming.
