On July 8, 2025, Legrand, a renowned leader in electrical equipment based in Limoges, announced two key acquisitions: Switzerland's Amperio Project and Portugal's Quitérios. Amperio Project specializes in electrical power systems, generating over 4 million euros in annual revenue and employing about 20 people. Quitérios, meanwhile, focuses on modular distribution cabinets with an annual revenue nearing 20 million euros, supported by a workforce of around 100 employees.
These strategic acquisitions are part of Legrand's ongoing roadmap towards 2030, focusing on enhancing its presence in energy and digital sectors. Benoît Coquart, CEO of Legrand, expressed satisfaction regarding these new additions, highlighting that this marks the fifth acquisition for the company this year. Despite facing a competitive landscape—including a recent 470 million euro fine impacting several electrical sector firms, with Legrand responsible for 43 million euros of that total—the company has reported a 1.6% increase in net profit for 2024, attributed to its data center operations. This proactive approach illustrates Legrand's commitment to growth while navigating industry challenges.
