The French MaPrimeRénov' renovation aid program will see a reorganization ahead of its reopening by the end of September 2025. Eric Lombard, the Minister of Economy, announced that the application window for the aid will close on July 1, 2025, to address issues such as a surge in applications and instances of fraud in the program. Despite its temporary suspension, the program, which has a budget of €3.6 billion with €1.3 billion already disbursed, will continue to honor ongoing projects. Lombard reassured that this initiative, crucial for financing energy renovation works, is not being eliminated but rather refined following critical feedback from President Emmanuel Macron, who expressed dissatisfaction with the government’s management of the aid program. "The guichet will reopen no later than the end of September," Lombard stated, reinforcing the government's commitment to support energy-efficient renovations while aiming to improve the process and safeguards against misuse.
